Privacy
This website was created by me and serves as my personal playground for various IT projects—from the underlying infrastructure to the site’s design and functionality. Much of the website has been vibe-coded, and some of the images and other visual content are AI-generated. PwGen is based on a Windows application that I developed and later adapted for the web to make it more accessible.
PwGen generates passwords locally in your browser. Generated passwords are never stored or sent to the server.
If you actively enable “Remember my settings”, only the generator settings are saved in your browser. You can delete them at any time from the PwGen page.
The website counts page views and successful password generations. The server uses the incoming IP address only momentarily to determine a country code from a local geographical database. IP addresses, generated passwords, browser fingerprints, and individual visitor profiles are not stored in the statistics database.
This product includes GeoLite Data created by MaxMind. The geographical information is used only for aggregated country-level statistics.
